T-978; "Trailer step", 6" x 20"

The T-978; "Double wide, Trailer step" has a 6" x 20" step measurement which is over twice as wide as our T-975; "Single Step, Trailer Step". The step is made of Aluminum deck plate welded to 2 ea. 1" x 2" aluminum mounting tubes that extend front of step out 9-1/2" from outside of trailer frame. Step mounts to side trailer frame tube for easier boat access or the 10" of space BETWEEN mount tubes allow step to be mounted on side of trailer tongue to straddle winch post for aid in launching and landing boats. Includes fasteners to easily mount to trailer frames up to 3” wide x 4” high.

For frames up to 5" high check option T-8-4 below for longer bolts.

For frames 5-1/4" to 6" high check option T-9-4 below for longer bolts.

For frames 6-1/4" to 7" high check option T-10-4 below for longer bolts.

NOTE: I-Beam trailers. Our clamps work on I-Beams UP TO 3" WIDE. If your I-Beam is WIDER then 3" you can mount with the provided clamp bars by drilling holes through the top & bottom inside flange legs of I-Beam to allow the bolts to pass down to the bottom clamp bar, this will NOT hurt the strength of the frame.
