Boat Trailer Post Guide-Ons, T-965-G; "GALVANIZED", 65" Tall model, for SALT WATER USE! 1 PAIR (1 ea. shown)( NOTE: Gold Zink Model shown ). Post Guides may also be used on boat lifts/hoist, ( NOTE: Pictures on left ). USUALLY the T-965 or T-965-G models are used on boat lifts/hoist because of their height. Preferably mount tube base perpendicular to boats side ( UNLIKE PICTURES ) to achieve full benefit of added tube gusset. NOW, NOTE WHAT WE DO AND THE OTHERS DONT !!
1) Near full length 1-1/2” sq. steel posts, there is ONLY 7" Difference between the top of steel tube to top of PVC tube. ( NOT just 1/2 way into PVC Tube. )
2) Welded in brace on formed joint for added strength. ( NOT just formed and able to easily bend when hit by boat. )
3) 1-1/2" SQ. Tubes are 14 Ga. thick material. ( NOT lighter 16 Ga. like others. )
4) The heavy wall 2” SCH. 40 PVC tubes sit on a base ring. ( NOT jam into the joint. )
5) 5" long, formed clamp mount design. ( NOT just 2 U-Bolts. )
6) HOT DIPPED GALVANIZED finish for added protection against salt water corrosion. HOT DIPPED GALVANIZING has almost 3 times the galvanizing then pre galvanized tube. ( NOT Pre Galvanized tube like most others. )
Also caps are vented to prevent tube “float”. Height of Post Guide On aids in easier, empty trailer maneuvering, with a large tow vehicle. T-965-G is 65” tall and the inside of the tube extends out to 19” on 3" wide frames and 20" on 2" wide frames from each side of trailer frame. Packaged one pair per carton with all mounting hardware. Will mount to frames up to 3” wide x 4-1/4” high.
For frames up to 5-1/4" high check option T-7-8 below for longer bolts.
For frames up to 6-1/4" high check option T-8-8 below for longer bolts.
NOTE: When mounting "Guide-On's" on trailers with steps behind the fender, the 2 outside holes may be drilled through the step next to the frame for the mounting bolts to go through to the bottom clamp plate.
NOTE: I-Beam trailers. Our clamps work on I-Beams UP TO 3" WIDE. For I-Beams that are 3-1/2" wide, call 763-427-5330 to have special clamps ( outside holes are slotted to mount to a 3-1/2" wide I-Beam ) packaged instead of standard clamps. PLEASE, ONLY ask for this by phone call, NOT by making a note on order. Also, ONLY ask for this if needed, you DO NOT want the slotted clamps on 3" wide frames. Also, if your I-Beam is WIDER then 3-1/2" you can mount with the standard clamps by drilling holes through the top & bottom inside flange legs of I-Beam to allow the bolts to pass down to the bottom clamp plate, this will NOT hurt the strength of the frame.
